This is a rare opportunity to join co&co, a young, vibrant marketing agency based in Manchester. As a Social Media Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Founder and Creative Director to deliver killer content for a mix of client projects and retainers.

You’ll be hands-on across ideation, planning, creation and reporting – with real ownership and the chance to work directly with clients. No fluff, no ping-pong tables – just smart, impactful work that makes brands better.

Responsibilities:

Client contact

• Attend and contribute to content meetings with clients and account leads

• Confidently work with clients to fulfil briefs independently

Idea generation

• Come up with fresh, on-brand ideas based on client goals and strategy

• Stay on top of social trends and styles – and know when to use them

• Bring ideas to life in collaboration with the wider creative team

• Proactively contribute to creative planning and output

Content creation

• Build out content plans and deliver static and visual assets across formats

• Film, edit, frame and style content for maximum impact

• Create UGC-style, staged, and B-roll content

• Prep sets and locations for shoot days

• Independently recce and plan content opportunities ahead of time

Reporting & performance

• Support monthly reporting by tracking metrics and key insights

• Monitor client competitors and suggest tactical improvements in real-time

Ideal Candidate:

Flexible, reliable and self-motivated – no clock watchers here

Experience creating content for social media (personal or professional)

Confident using editing tools like CapCut, Canva, Adobe etc.

Comfortable filming on phone or camera (bonus if you’ve used gimbals etc.)

Strong understanding of how content works across IG, FB, TikTok & LinkedIn

Willing to travel for meetings/events (must have a car)

Great at staying organised, managing time, and hitting deadlines

Brings energy, curiosity, and ideas to the table

Has a creative mindset with strong visual instincts

Happy to work fast, think flexibly, and adapt on the go
