Marketing Apprentice

Location: Manchester City Centre (With travel to Newcastle once a month)
Wage: £10 per hour

Apprenticeship: Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3

We’re looking for a creative, organised and enthusiastic Marketing Apprentice to join our team.

This is a varied, hands-on role offering experience across social media, content creation, property marketing and day-to-day marketing operations. You’ll help promote three distinct property brands, while developing practical skills and working towards a recognised marketing qualification.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating content, follows social media trends and is keen to begin a career in marketing.

What you’ll be doing

Social media

  • Plan monthly organic social media content across our three brands:

    • Paragon Property: one LinkedIn post per week

    • My Apartments: three weekly posts across LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook

    • City Co-Living: four weekly posts across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok

  • Create engaging written, photographic and video content.

  • Schedule, publish and monitor posts using Sprout Social.

  • Respond to comments, messages and mentions in a friendly, professional manner.

  • Monitor engagement and use performance insights to improve future content.

  • Track and report on organic social media performance.

  • Research competitors and identify new content opportunities.

  • Work with internal teams to align content with business priorities and campaigns.

  • Stay informed about platform updates, algorithm changes and emerging social trends.

Content creation

  • Capture engaging property, lifestyle and local-area content in Manchester and Newcastle.

  • Assist with professional photography and video shoots.

  • Edit social media content using tools such as Canva and CapCut.

  • Write social media copy and create supporting visual assets.

  • Help dress apartments for photography and viewings, ensuring furnishings and accessories are maintained, refreshed and rotated.

  • Update office window displays each month to reflect current availability and campaigns.

  • Develop new window-display concepts every three months.

  • Create content calendars and creative concepts for digital noticeboards at City Co-Living and Westpoint.

  • Produce and schedule digital noticeboard content, including:

    • Opening hours and important resident or tenant information

    • Business and property updates

    • Community news and lifestyle content

    • Key dates, local events and city activities

Property marketing

  • Create accurate and appealing property listings based on current availability.

  • Refresh and optimise five property listings each day to improve visibility and keep information up to date.

  • Design carousel campaign assets and write copy to support property marketing activity.

  • Attend monthly performance meetings with the Marketing Manager and Rightmove Account Manager.

  • Research property portals that align with our business goals and support outreach to potential new partners.

Marketing and operational support

  • Raise purchase orders in line with the marketing budget and liaise with the Accounts team.

  • Attend weekly marketing and lettings meetings, recording and sharing meeting notes and actions.

  • Ensure leads are entered into the CRM accurately and in the correct format.

  • Help prepare the weekly marketing report.

  • Proofread marketing materials before approval and distribution.

  • Provide general support to the Marketing team as required.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need previous professional marketing experience—we’re looking for enthusiasm, potential and a willingness to learn.

You’ll ideally have:

  • A genuine interest in marketing, social media and content creation.

  • Strong written communication and attention to detail.

  • A creative eye for photography, video and design.

  • Confidence using—or an eagerness to learn—Canva, CapCut and social media scheduling tools.

  • Good organisation and time-management skills.

  • The ability to manage several tasks and deadlines.

  • A proactive, positive and collaborative approach.

  • Confidence communicating with colleagues and responding to customers online.

  • An interest in property, city living or the rental market.

  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to Newcastle.
