The opportunity

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Finance Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience within a busy finance department while working towards an AAT accounting qualification.

You will help us provide a high-quality support service to the finance team and to schools and services throughout the New Bridge Group.

Your responsibilities

Your duties will include:

• Assisting the purchase ledger team with scheduling invoices for payment

• Raising monthly sales invoices

• Processing and reconciling charge cards

• Assisting with the production of month-end and year-end accounts

• Completing general finance and administrative duties

• Working with colleagues across the Trust to provide an efficient and professional service

About you

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• A willingness to undertake AAT qualifications

• Experience using ICT packages

• A professional and responsible approach to work

• The ability to work effectively with different teams and colleagues throughout the Trust

• Availability to work on a full-time, full-year basis

• The ability to follow instructions, procedures and policies

• Good organisation skills and attention to detail

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
