Making Education a Priority (MEaP) is a community-rooted organisation dedicated to improving educational outcomes and life opportunities for disadvantaged young people. We work with families, schools, and community partners to empower young people through mentoring, mediation, skills-building, and employability initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and creative individual to join MEaP as a Business Administration Apprentice with a focus on marketing and digital communications. You will support the daily running of our community programmes, assist with project coordination, and contribute to social media and outreach efforts to increase our engagement and visibility.

Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to programme leads (e.g., managing records, calendars, meetings)

Assist in developing marketing materials (flyers, newsletters, digital content)

Create, schedule, and monitor social media content (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)

Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and email lists

Support event planning and community engagement campaigns

Liaise with partner organisations, volunteers, and young people

Attend weekly off-the-job training to complete the apprenticeship

Ideal Candidate:

Essential:
GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
Good communication skills; basic Microsoft Office knowledge
Confident using social media platforms
Strong organisational skills; attention to detail
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and community-minded
Commitment to completing the apprenticeship

Desirable:
Qualifications in IT or media studies
Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, or editing tools
Experience managing social media accounts or blogs
Event/project support experience
Experience in community or youth environments
Interest in non-profit or education sectors
Awareness of challenges faced by young people and families
